OLD HILL
CHILDREN'S DAY SCHOOL
STAFFED FOR SAFETY & QUALITY
Background Screening / Investigations
First and foremost, Old Hill vets all potential staff members with a multi-step screening process. We begin with in-person interviews and personal reference checks. Next, we submit candidate fingerprints to the State of Connecticut for completion of criminal background checks and commence a screening investigation through the State of Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF).

Exceptional Teacher Tenure
While teachers' lives change and they eventually move on from their positions, Old Hill is proud to offer its families the valuable consistency and care of Teachers who have been with us for many years -- some for 10 years or more. Low turnover and excellent, experienced teachers greatly contribute to the quality of a child care environment and the long tenure of teachers at Old Hill is no exception.

Experience, Education & Certifications
Our full time Director has been with Old Hill for over 15 years. She holds a State of Connecticut Director's Credential, a B.A. in Early Childhood Administration, an A.S. in Early Childhood Education and a C.D.A., Child Development Associate Credential. She is also a Certified Head Teacher in the State of Connecticut and has over 20 years of experience in early childhood education. All of Old Hill's Lead Classroom Teachers hold State of Connecticut Head Teacher Certificates as well as B.A., B.S., or A.S. Degrees or other credentials in Early Childhood Development. All staff members also participate in annual continuing education in order to remain current in the field of early childhood education. Nearly all full time classroom staff are Certified Head Teachers in the State of Connecticut.
