Summer Camp

From June through August, Old Hill's children break from academic year routines to run, play and use their imaginations for up to 6 hours per day in our private playgrounds shaded by mature, leafy trees and far removed from highway/street noise.   Bi-weekly themes, water play, outdoor reading, science, art and activity stations provide endless, joyful learning experiences and numerous opportunities for social, physical and cognitive growth.

See a small sample of our Summer Camp activities below!

Pirates & Mermaids

During this session, children work collaboratively together to build fun pirate ships out of boxes, embark on treasure hunts, dress up as pirates and mermaids, read pirate and mermaid books, have pirate snacks and participate in educational pirate themed games, arts and crafts!  Pirate & Mermaids is one of our most loved sessions every  year!

Plants & Gardening

Each summer our children love to plant flowers and herbs, care for them over the season and watch them grow.  We read about plants and keep track of their height, see how heat can impact their need for water and sometimes witness damage  done by critters such as chipmunks and rabbits on the hunt for their own food!
